All time off requests are handled on an ad hoc basis with the worker's hiring manager. Depending on the worker's province/state of operation, worker status, and supplier, they may have entitlement to PTO which they are free to request on their own accord, however, the request must be approved by their manager.

In addition to contractor-initiated time off, some departments at BMO leverage the furlough program, resulting in the contractor observing unpaid time off in addition to statutory holidays. The applicability of the furlough program is department and manager specific- each contractor should engage with their hiring manager to gain more insight into how the furlough program can apply to them.

It is very common for contractors in all departments to get their assignments extended for up to 2 years. The majority of engagements do not surpass 24 months in length without a break in service of at least 3 months.

They absolutely do. Hybrid positions are the most common type of position, but some departments do offer 100% remote positions wherein there is no need to live close to a BMO hub. However, this depends on each hiring manager and role - you can consult your manager or supplier to learn more about the possibility of working remotely.

The BMO CT program requires talent from an assortment of industries- however, IT/technology, business/professional (including accounting/finance, AML) and administrative/clerical skillsets are the most commonly required roles employed through the program.

Yes - though conversion is not guaranteed in any department/position, contractors are commonly converted to permanent employment.

The BMO CT program staffs contingent talent across Canada and the US. The most commonly used head offices are scattered around the GTA (Toronto/Mississauga/Scarborough), Montreal, Chicago, New York, Brookfield, and Naperville.
